System Engineer Microsoft 365 (m/f/d)
Fulltime (38,5 h/week) | Permanent Employment | Mönchengladbach

Your impact within the OQEMA Group: 

  • Ensure efficient IT operations, innovation and seamless integration of Microsoft 365 and related technologies
  • Analyze business requirements, translate them into system specifications and align closely with business users
  • Configure, customize and maintain Microsoft 365 applications to meet business needs and best practices
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for IT system requests, diagnosing and resolving faults
  • Implement and support new IT technologies and system enhancements, ensuring compatibility across components
  • Apply and manage updates, patches and upgrades to maintain system performance and security
  • Monitor and analyze the Microsoft 365 environment and IT processes to ensure reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement

The Microsoft 365 Environment You'll Work In

  • Microsoft 365 apps (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive)
  • Identity & device management (Entra ID, Intune)
  • Security & compliance tooling (Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Purview, Conditional Access)
  • Networking components that connect it all together
  • Ongoing patching, updates and security hardening across the stack

What we are looking for:

  • Completed degree in computer science, completed vocational training as an IT specialist, IT business manager, or a similar qualification, with relevant professional experience
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in this field
  • Hands-on experience with the Microsoft 365 stack described above, including security tooling (Defender, Purview, Conditional Access) and networking
  • Experience with automation via PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API
  • Fluent German (C1) and English (B2), both required
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. MS-102, SC-300) are a plus, but not a requirement
  • Analytical and structured way of working, with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong result orientation
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong self-initiative, resilience and a hands-on, performance-driven mindset
  • Openness to change, willingness to learn and a constructive approach to feedback
  • Entrepreneurial thinking with a clear focus on business needs, stakeholders and continuous improvement
  • Team spirit and cooperation, paired with a constructive approach to resolving conflicts
